Thomas Spinelli, Founder & CEO
Tom Spinelli founded North American Manufacturing Enterprises in January 2009 and currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer and President. Previously, Spinelli headed two general contracting firms and three different real estate development companies.
Spinelli had previously established a building supply and equipment rental company, which was subsequently sold to a subsidiary of Mellon Bank, and owned an accounting firm, where he was instrumental in assisting several of the Mellon Bank’s clients to enter the public arena.
Spinelli had also been the Co-Chairman of Green Energy Management Services Holdings, Inc. since October 23, 2013 until May 2014.
Spinelli was also a Business instructor at Wagner College, holds a NYS License as a Certified Public Accountant and holds a MBA in Accounting and Taxation from Saint John’s University.
Brian Lennan, Chief Operating Officer
Brian Lennan is a seasoned business executive possessing over 20 years of experience and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for North American Manufacturing Enterprises.
Lennan has also served as the Director of Business Development of low-voltage products at NAME since 2012. Prior to his position at NAME, Lennan was the Senior Vice President at Ditati, a leading low voltage contractor that served a Fortune 500 client base. A seasoned New York City business executive, Lennan had managed sizeable teams in numerous data center projects throughout the country.In his current role, Lennan is responsible for leading the company’s endeavors in the areas of business development and corporate information technology.
By placing emphasis on business development, compliance, and risk management Lennan utilizes his entrepreneurial spirit and extensive leadership experience in an effort drive NAME companies to achieve their full potential.
Hamid Pishdadian, Chief Technology Officer
Mr. Pishdadian has been Chief Technology Officer at NAME since 2011. Mr. Pishdadian earned a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Electrical Engineering.
Hamid worked as a research engineer at Brown University. Hamid holds 11 United States patents. He created the first Automatic Satellite Identification System for commercial use, which was the foundation for GPS. Hamid developed an automatic system to design the motor for sub-fractional water circulators using genetic algorithms; “TACO-0013” circulator was the result.
Kyle Leighton, Director of Marketing
Kyle Leighton is a professional public relations practitioner possessing 8 years of experience, and serves as the Director of Marketing for North American Manufacturing Enterprises. Leighton holds an Associate Degree of Arts from Jackson College, and a B.A. in Professional Communication from Siena Heights University.
A contributor to several industry leading publications, Leighton was honored in 2013 at the National Association of Electrical Distributors LEAD Conference in Chicago, Illinois, as he was named to tED Magazine’s list of emerging electrical industry leaders in the United States. And, in 2014 he received the Recent Graduate Award from Siena Heights University based on his public relations success in the energy field.
Leighton has now represented 6 national energy efficient commercial brands.
Stephen Mazzaferro, Director of Facilities
Steve Mazzaferro possesses nearly 10 years of electrical industry experience and currently serves as the Facilities Manager at North American Manufacturing Enterprises. Mazzaferro manages and directs the operations of logistics and fixture assembly areas of the New York facilities and also concentrates on purchasing procedures, inventory control, and develops and implements production schedules.
Mazzaferro is also responsible for all ISO 9000/9001, UL, ETL and DLC certifications as they relate to the facility and its products and is best known for his impeccable track record of cost reduction within organizations.
Mazzaferro holds a B.A.S in Finance from Hofstra University.
Tian Li, Director of Lighting Development – QA/QC
Li has been Director of Lighting Development at NAME since 2009. Li is responsible for managing QA/QC programs and is active in developing NAME’s latest Inventfine Photometric lab.
Li earned his Masters in Electrical Engineering from SUNY at Stony Brook and is active with the NAME/Con-Ed energy partner team. Li remains focused on ways to promote and practice the intelligent ways to conserve energy.
Mark Shotton , Vice President, West Coast
Mr. Shotton has been Vice President of NAME since 2010. Mark holds a Mechanical Engineering degree. Mark was the founder of ELS (a lighting control design firm). Mark is a highly respected Engineer in the Energy Conservation field with over 10 years of experience.
